Meet TULANE (TULA)!  This cutie pie is a 6 week old, female, 0.8 oz, DSH Brown Tabby kitten.  One of our wonderful volunteers was in New Orleans with her son (volunteering with the Lower Nine organization to help build houses) when a woman drove by and shouted out her window, "Does anyone want any kittens"...!  She had 3 darling, teeny tiny babies in a box and said her cat had kittens "again"...!  Our volunteer discussed spaying her cat with her, but did absolutely take the kittens.  Who knows what would have become of them had she not.  Thus, we have Mardi Gras, Nola, and Tulane in honor of New Orleans.  These poor little darlings were only about 4-1/2 weeks old and they were covered in fleas!  The girls are now in a wonderful foster home where they are happy, healthy, and super playful.  Tula is playful yet sweet.  There is just something special about her that is heartwarming.  They are all looking for their Forever Family and are ready for applications, but we would like them to stay in their foster home until they are 8 weeks old.  We know these precious kittens will go quickly, so put in your application right away!

NOTE:  We do not adopt out single kittens, so please consider adopting another sibling (or all 3 kittens) or have a young cat at home.  We do not adopt single kittens to a home with a senior cat.

Why Two Cats Are Better Than One

Cats who have a playmate tend to be more socially well-adjusted and tend to overcome behavioral issues like shyness or being frightened. Also, cats need stimulation during the day like humans. In an owner's absence, two cats will keep each other company and will provide a source of comfort to one another. Another benefit to having multiple cats, especially if they are a bonded pair, is that they will entertain each other and get the necessary exercise that they need through play.

TO ADOPT TULANE, PLEASE COMPLETE AN application.  If you want to enjoy the companionship of a dog or cat but not yet ready for the long-term commitment of adopting, perhaps fostering is more your speed. Please read our if you are interested in being a foster parent to one of our Adorable Adoptables.
