Meet Nomi!  This absolutely precious, teeny tiny, 9-month-old girl is a doll!  Heartbreaking story - she was literally found INSIDE a garbage can when it was freezing cold outside, and the garbage man found her as he was dumping contents INTO the back of his truck as she tumbled out (see photo above)!  He called a police officer who called us, and we snapped her up in an instant.  She was only 2.5 lbs when we got her!  Nomi was very scared, but it only took overnight before she trusted her first foster mom.  She had a urinary tract infection, and we were told that her back right leg has a luxating patella, but that does not bother her at all right now.

Nomi is currently living in a wonderful foster home with 2 cats, an 8-month-old baby, and another tiny Chihuahua.  She now weighs 4 lbs and is healthy, happy, sweet, and sassy!  She is super playful and has non-stop fun with her canine foster brother!  She does try to enlist the kitties in some games, but they are not really interested.  She warmed up to her foster mom & dad quickly, but it did take her a while before she trusted Grandpa.  Nomi is happy-go-lucky with a mischievous gleam in her eye, loves to play with toys, and is THEE BEST little snuggler ever!

Nomi will make a darling addition to a lucky adopter's life!  She MUST go to a home that has a small dog, though.  She has such an incredible joy of life with her canine foster brother that we cannot imagine her in a home alone.
